Natural Organic Fabrics from Ayurkruti

We at Ayurkruti, are proud to be able to say that we are slowly but surely scaling new heights. With a change in approach towards sustainable ecosystems and sustainable living, we seem to have caught the right wave at the right time.

With the world slowly moving towards eco-friendly and sustainable living, individuals and industries have started to adopt this trend as a way of life. With the current effects of pollution, deforestation, industrialization and over-use of resources on the natural conditions of the earth, reducing one’s carbon footprint has become as essential as breathing or survival. This ideological shift is steadily becoming the newest red-alert.

With immense amounts of manual and animal labour, energy and water-intensive processes going into manufacturing materials like wool and others, that we use regularly, are we, as humans, doing the right thing? By dealing in materials that are created by processes which increase our carbon footprint on the earth, we seem to be moving in the wrong direction. How do you, as a company or as an individual, figure, in the larger scheme of this shift in ideology? Will you play a part in this change?

We, at Ayurkruti, are completely sold by this philosophy of change. The more we began to understand it, the more we started to realize how important this shift is. Since its inception as an e-commerce platform, dealing in ayurvedic medicines, organic products across multiple verticals and cloth, we have always believed in our need to be a major part of this shift.

We recently started to explore alternative fabrics like hemp, cotton, natural dyeing fabrics, handlooms etc. and came across some stunning figures. Using these fabrics and creating industries that completely back the use of the same can substantially reduce the carbon footprint created by every single consumer. Hemp, as a fabric, uses only around 5% of the water needed to cultivate other fabrics. Being a dense plant, it is less space-intensive with lesser vulnerability to pests and hence, no use of pesticides.

We have handpicked manufacturing units to create our own Hemp materials and have started to turn the heads of customers worldwide. Most recently, Ayurkruti’s Hemp fabrics were featured in Spain at the b2fabric showroom exhibition and we were overwhelmed by the kind of response we got from our customers there. Here are a couple of photos from the exhibition.
